Chapin’s 82108B 100-pound professional salt spreader features functionality needed for reliable, efficient performance. It’s designed and built for professionals and is simple enough for a homeowner to use as a salt spreader for their driveway. The large, 2-piece hopper design with a T-handle with grips, is supported on a stainless steel frame. Solid steel linkage for full gate control and a spiked auger help move salt and tear through clumps. The 14-inch pneumatic tires cover just about any terrain and the baffle system controls the spread pattern. Protective rain/snow cover included. This unit is not recommended for use with rock salt, sand, or sand mixes, lime, pelletized lime and lime mixes
- 100-pound capacity hopper – blue, weather-resistant poly holds up to 100 pounds of material and is supported on stainless steel frame; enclosed gears are protected from the weather

- Rear and side baffles – target where the ice melt should go by setting the side baffles; better direction and less wasted product; the fixed rear baffle keeps particles from spraying backwards towards you while spreading
- Spiked auger – breaks up clumps so your preferred salt or ice melt can easily flows through the gate opening
- Gate lever – change the gate opening based on the particulates; recommended for use with salt, halite, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride and calcium chloride (small and pelletized particulates)
- Tires and accessories – 14-inch pneumatic, wide-tread tires move over uneven ground; rain/snow cover included to protect particulates while spreading
