The Makita DHP490Y01 is an 18V LXT brushless 1/2" hammer drill-driver supplied as a compact kit. It includes an 18V (Compact) Li-Ion battery BL1815N (196235-0), a standard charger, and a keyless drill chuck (763260-2). The brushless motor delivers up to 580 in. lbs (65 Nm) of maximum torque and achieves high no-load speed for fast drilling.
Designed for versatility on the jobsite, the tool offers 20-stage torque settings for fine fastening control, mechanical 2-speed gearing to choose between higher rpm or more torque, and three action modes: drilling, hammer drilling, and screwdriving. A single LED with pre-glow and after-glow helps illuminate the work area, while the variable-speed trigger gives responsive speed control.
