The Makita DUX18RTX15 is a brushless split-shaft power unit kit designed to handle a range of property maintenance tasks. It uses a brushless DC motor for a high power-to-weight and size ratio, with features that support prolonged use and reduced heat buildup.
This kit includes a dedicated snow blower attachment (SN400MP) and delivers variable 2-speed operation with constant speed control and soft start for smoother engagement. Snow performance reaches up to 23 ft (7 m) at high speed and clears up to 11-3/4" (300 mm) width and height, with a 30° adjustable throwing angle left or right.
Safety and control features include Active Feedback sensing Technology (AFT) that shuts the tool down on sudden drops in rotation speed, an electric brake that stops the blade 3-5 seconds after trigger release, and a lever shaft locking system for quick attachment changes. eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT) helps protect the unit from dust, debris and liquids.
The kit ships with a 18V (5.0 Ah) Li-Ion battery (BL1850B), rapid charger (DC18RC), shoulder harness, hex wrench, and accessory bag to help get you started on trimming, cutting, blowing and snow-clearing jobs with multiple compatible attachments.
